Commit your way to the LORD; trust in him and he will do this: He will make your righteousness shine like the dawn, the justice of your cause like the noonday sun.
Psalm 37:5-6
There is not one area of life where justice––a right relationship with God, others, and all of creation––is not needed, and there is not one square foot on this good earth that is outside the slant of the sun. The above verse from Psalm 37 has always been illustrative for me when thinking about God’s desire for justice. The noonday sun reveals and brings shadows to light; its height in the sky inscribes purpose and importance. These images were all taken during the noon hour in places where right relationship has been severed in some way, causing our present noonday to shine incomplete.
